1. ‍Nurses are understaffed and your productsmay help.  Value Analysis teams lookat helping the nurses do more with the staff they have AND see Nurse Retentionas a big strategic initiative.   Theytrack the workload and steps required to finish a task and removing those stepsand workloads make their nurses more productive.‍
2. "Throughput” is a term you should know and aconcept to understand.   The shorterthe procedure, the less overtime, the sooner the patient in the ER or office istreated next,  the higher the surgeonsatisfaction, the more revenue generated per surgeon block.  Do not underestimate these things!  They are all tied together and are part ofpatient “thoughput”.‍
3. Patient Care is always #1.  No matter what you think…    Quality measures affect reimbursement tothe good or the bad for health system, but they really are paid attention to asan objective measurement of patient safety and outcomes.
